Ahhhh, the twentieth century.

Its end was the end of the world. We all hunkered down with our canned goods and shotguns, waiting for Y2K. Though the end never came, its stillborn imminence remains.

We carry that life wherever we go. Always again to the hills we were running. City was unsafe, and the rapture was coming. Would we ever grow old?

The latest record from The Victorious Airborne blasts its way through this and plenty of other obscure moods. We have here a mishmash of forms and styles, from stadium rock to piano sludge, tortured vinyl to rockabilly metal. The view is cinematic, the tone melodramatic. At least one classical composer is rolling over in his grave.

All in all, the Victorious Airborne has done it again. For that, they can only beg forgiveness.
